Insurance Deductibles
What is the difference between the deductible and the security deposit?
The deductible is the amount that remains payable by the insured after an insurance coverage is triggered. This amount is therefore not reimbursed by the insurer. It is deducted from the final compensation paid by the insurance.
The security deposit is a guarantee for the professional renting out the vehicle. In case of damage to the rented motorcycle or scooter, all or part of the deposit may be withheld to cover repair costs. In the event of a major incident requiring an insurance claim, the deposit may be used to cover the insurance deductible for the professional.
