⚠️ Warning
- This page is intended solely to inform and simply explain the main coverages of your insurance policy. It does not in any way replace the General Terms and official contractual documents.
For detailed information or any question regarding your coverage, please refer to the official documents: General Insurance Terms and Conditions (Information Notice)
Covered Period
The insurance takes effect from the rental start date and time specified in the contract, as well as from the date the contract is signed. It covers the renter until the scheduled rental end date and time, except in cases of early vehicle return and early contract termination. Similarly, the insurance cannot begin before these dates or extend beyond them.
Policy Coverages
Third-Party Liability
This coverage, also known as third-party insurance, covers bodily injury and property damage that you may cause to others (pedestrians, other vehicles, public property, etc.) during an accident, fire, or explosion involving the rented vehicle, including transported items.
Driver Protection
You are compensated for your own injuries (medical expenses, loss of income, various damages) in the event of an accident involving the vehicle, regardless of your level of responsibility, provided that the Permanent Physical and Mental Impairment (Atteinte Permanente à l’Intégrité Physique et Psychique (AIPP) in french) rate exceeds 10%.
Theft
In the event of theft or attempted theft of the vehicle (including stolen manufacturer options), the insurance covers loss or damage, as well as costs incurred to recover the vehicle, provided that protection measures were followed (approved anti-theft device, steering lock). If this coverage applies, a deductible remains at your expense and will not be refunded. You remain liable up to the amount of your security deposit. Learn more about the deposit >
All-Accident Damage
This extended coverage protects against all damages to the rented motorcycle or scooter (collision, overturning, impact with an obstacle, vandalism, etc.) when you are responsible. Insurance applies only if the amount of damage exceeds the applicable deductible. Learn more about the deposit >
Criminal Defense & Legal Claims after an Accident (C.D.L.A.)
If you are prosecuted after an accident, the insurance covers your criminal defense costs (lawyer fees, expenses) and/or initiates recovery action against the responsible third party for your material and bodily damages, under the conditions set forth in the policy.
Fire – Storms
The rented two-wheeler is covered for damages caused by fire (including lightning and acts of sabotage) and storms (strong winds causing damage), as well as urgent towing and roadside assistance costs related to these incidents.
Natural Disasters
When the government officially recognizes a natural phenomenon (major flood, earthquake, etc.) as a "natural disaster," the resulting vehicle damage is covered under the same conditions as for fire, storm, or accident coverage.
Technological Disasters
If a technological disaster (industrial explosion, massive pollution, etc.) is recognized by ministerial decree, the insurance covers the damage suffered by your vehicle, provided that damage coverage has been subscribed.
Weather Events
For climatic hazards not classified as “natural disasters” (hail, avalanche, snowfall, local flooding, landslide), this coverage compensates material damage and covers related towing and assistance costs.
Terrorist Acts & Attacks
The rented motorcycle or scooter is automatically protected in the event of direct material damage resulting from terrorist acts or attacks on national territory, under the same conditions as the “Fire – Storms” coverage.
